Clean Sense IQ automatically responds to hidden dirt
The Shark Stratos IZ400UKT uses Clean Sense IQ technology to detect dirt that may not be immediately visible. Sensors monitor the amount of debris entering the vacuum and automatically increase suction when a dirtier area is identified.
Once the debris has been cleared, the vacuum reduces its power again to help balance cleaning performance and battery use. Shark states that Clean Sense IQ can provide up to 50% more dirt pick-up compared with using the IZ400UKT in Eco mode.
An illuminated indicator on the floorhead shows when the vacuum is detecting additional dirt and increasing its suction, providing a clear guide as you move across the floor.
DuoClean cleaning for carpets and hard floors
The DuoClean floorhead combines two powered brush rolls in one cleaning head. The main brush roll reaches into carpet fibres to lift embedded dirt and hair, while the soft front roller draws in larger debris and helps lift fine dust from hard flooring.
This allows the Shark Stratos to move between carpets, laminate, tiles, vinyl and wooden floors without changing to a separate floorhead.
LED headlights at the front of the floorhead illuminate darker areas beneath furniture and make dust and debris easier to spot while cleaning.
Anti Hair Wrap Plus for long, short and pet hair
Anti Hair Wrap Plus is designed to actively separate and remove hair from the brush roll as the vacuum operates. This reduces the amount of long hair, short hair and pet fur that becomes tightly wrapped around the roller.
The enhanced brush-roll design provides strong hair pick-up from both carpets and hard floors, making the IZ400UKT particularly suitable for homes with shedding pets or household members with longer hair.
Although no anti-wrap system can eliminate every possible tangle, the technology significantly reduces the regular cutting and pulling associated with conventional vacuum brush rolls.
Motorised Pet Tool for upholstery and stairs
Convert the Shark Stratos into a handheld vacuum and attach the included Motorised Pet Tool to clean sofas, stairs, pet beds, cushions and car interiors.
The powered brush provides additional agitation to help loosen embedded pet hair from fabric and upholstery, making it more effective for these areas than relying on a basic suction nozzle alone.
The supplied Multi-Surface Tool is suited to furniture and general above-floor cleaning, while the 20cm Crevice Tool reaches into narrow gaps, corners and spaces between furniture.
Anti-Odour Technology
Pet hair, dust and dander can create unpleasant smells inside a vacuum’s dust cup and floorhead. Shark Anti-Odour Technology uses a replaceable cartridge fitted into the floorhead to help guard against odours developing inside the vacuum.
The dial can be adjusted to control the intensity of the system. This is intended to help keep the vacuum itself fresher between cleaning sessions rather than adding fragrance directly to carpets or hard floors.
Replacement Anti-Odour cartridges will be required periodically, creating a small ongoing running cost that should be considered when purchasing.
Flexology reaches beneath low furniture
The Flexology wand bends at the press of a button, allowing the floorhead to travel beneath beds, sofas, coffee tables and other low furniture without requiring you to bend down as far.
When cleaning is complete, the wand can also fold over to make the vacuum more compact and stable for freestanding storage.
Converts into a handheld vacuum
Detach the handheld section to clean stairs, furniture, shelving, curtains, car interiors and other above-floor areas. The supplied accessories connect directly to the handheld unit or wand, depending on the reach required.
An LED smart display shows the selected cleaning mode and remaining battery status, while Boost mode provides additional suction for more demanding areas.
Up to 60 minutes of cordless runtime
The removable lithium-ion battery provides up to 60 minutes of runtime. This maximum figure is measured in Eco mode using a non-motorised accessory.
Runtime will be shorter when using the powered DuoClean floorhead, Motorised Pet Tool, Boost mode or when Clean Sense IQ automatically increases suction in dirtier areas.
The battery takes approximately 3.5 hours to charge and can be charged while fitted to the vacuum or removed and charged separately.
This is the single-battery version of the Shark Stratos. An additional compatible battery can be purchased separately for households that require extended cleaning time.
Sealed filtration and easy-empty dust cup
The IZ400UKT combines a washable HEPA filter with Shark’s Anti-Allergen Complete Seal to help retain fine dust and allergens inside the vacuum rather than releasing them back into the room.
The 0.7-litre dust cup provides a useful capacity for a cordless stick vacuum and can be emptied without removing the handheld unit from the wand.
The filters should be cleaned at the intervals recommended in the instruction manual to maintain airflow and cleaning performance.

Faulty goods (under 30 days):

Faulty goods (over 30 days):
Goods that are defective outside of 30 days but under the manufacturer's stated guarantee will be serviced via a local repair agent on the manufacturer's behalf.
Within the first six months the manufacturer is entitled to attempt one free repair to correct the defect provided this is done within a reasonable timeframe.
Please ensure to troubleshoot the issue beforehand as a service call may be chargeable if the the fault cannot be replicated by the engineer.
