The Ninja Swirl by CREAMi NC701UK combines the customisable frozen-dessert performance of a Ninja CREAMi with a dedicated soft-serve dispensing system. Prepare your ingredients, freeze the tub for at least 24 hours and select one of 13 one-touch programmes to create scoopable ice cream, gelato, sorbet, frozen yoghurt, milkshakes or smooth soft serve.
- 13 one-touch programmes for soft serve, scoopable ice cream, gelato, sorbet, frozen yoghurt, milkshakes and more
- Built-in soft-serve dispenser creates swirled cones, tubs and sundaes directly from the machine
- Soft Serve Creamify Technology transforms pre-frozen ingredients into smooth, creamy frozen treats
- Two 480ml CREAMi Swirl tubs included with each tub making approximately four wafer cones
- CREAMiFit programme supports higher-protein and lower-calorie recipes using the included recipe inspiration
Once a soft-serve recipe has been processed, transfer the tub to the dispensing side and pull the handle to create a classic swirl directly into a cone or bowl. It brings a proper ice-cream-shop style serving experience into the home while still retaining the versatility expected from a Ninja CREAMi.
Our premium pick for homemade soft serve
The Ninja Swirl is the strongest choice in the CREAMi range for families who specifically want soft-serve cones and sundaes rather than only scoopable ice cream. The dispensing handle adds something genuinely different: children and adults can serve a controlled swirl directly into a cone without manually scooping from the tub.
It also retains the customisation that made the original CREAMi popular. You can choose the ingredients, sweetness and mix used in the frozen base, with dedicated settings for traditional, lighter, fruit-based, frozen-yoghurt and CREAMiFit recipes.
Best for: Families, soft-serve fans and buyers who want an interactive dessert maker for parties, birthdays and summer entertaining.
Choose the original Ninja CREAMi instead if: You mainly want scoopable ice cream and would prefer a smaller, simpler and more affordable appliance.
Consider the CREAMi Deluxe instead if: Larger tubs, frozen drinks, frappés and slush-style recipes are more important to you than dispensing soft serve.
Before buying: The Swirl is a substantial appliance measuring approximately 44.5cm high and 48.5cm deep. Check your available worktop and storage space before ordering.
Make genuine dispensed soft serve at home
The defining feature of the Ninja Swirl is its integrated soft-serve dispensing system. After processing a compatible frozen base, fit the dispensing lid, move the tub to the dispenser and pull the side handle to serve the finished dessert.
The further the handle is pulled, the faster the dessert is dispensed. Pulling it more slowly gives greater control when creating a defined swirl in a cone, bowl or sundae glass.
Each 480ml tub can make approximately four servings when using standard wafer cones, making the included pair of tubs suitable for preparing different flavours or recipes in advance.
13 one-touch frozen-dessert programmes
The NC701UK includes separate processing programmes for soft-serve and scoopable recipes. Each programme controls the speed and movement of the Creamerizer Paddle to suit the selected ingredients and intended texture.
Six soft-serve programmes:
- Soft Serve Ice Cream
- Soft Serve Lite Ice Cream
- Frozen Yoghurt
- Fruit
- Soft Serve Gelato
- CREAMiFit
Six scoopable programmes:
- Ice Cream
- Lite Ice Cream
- Gelato
- Sorbet
- Frozen Yoghurt
- Milkshake
A dedicated Mix-In programme completes the 13 one-touch options, allowing ingredients such as crushed biscuits, sweets, chocolate pieces or chopped nuts to be folded into compatible scoopable desserts.
The separate Re-Spin function can be used when a processed base appears crumbly or powdery, helping produce a smoother and creamier consistency.
Soft Serve Creamify Technology
Unlike a traditional ice-cream maker that churns and freezes a liquid mixture, the Ninja Swirl processes ingredients that have already been frozen inside one of the supplied tubs.
The Creamerizer Paddle travels through the frozen base, breaking it down and transforming it into a smooth frozen dessert. This approach allows recipes to be customised around personal preferences, including traditional dairy recipes, fruit-based treats, frozen yoghurt and selected dairy-free alternatives.
The machine does not contain a freezer or compressor, so freshly prepared bases must normally be frozen for at least 24 hours before processing.
CREAMiFit for lighter, higher-protein recipes
The dedicated CREAMiFit programme is designed for compatible protein-focused recipes. Ninja states that the seven CREAMiFit recipes included in its inspiration guide contain fewer than 150 calories per 120ml serving, excluding cones and toppings.
Actual nutritional values will depend entirely on the ingredients and serving size used, but the programme provides a useful option for customers who want greater control over protein, sugar and calorie content than they would normally have with shop-bought ice cream.
Prepare now and enjoy later
Fill a CREAMi Swirl tub with your chosen recipe, secure the storage lid and place it on a level surface in the freezer for at least 24 hours. Ninja recommends processing bases when they are between approximately -12°C and -21°C.
Once frozen, place the tub inside the outer bowl, attach the Creamerizer Paddle and select the programme that corresponds with the recipe. Processing generally takes between one and six minutes, depending on the selected setting.
For scoopable desserts, the treat can be served directly from the tub. For soft serve, replace the processing lid with the dispensing lid before fitting the tub to the dispensing side of the machine.
Turn shop-bought ice cream into soft serve
You do not always need to prepare a recipe 24 hours in advance. Ninja advises that compatible shop-bought ice cream, frozen yoghurt or sorbet can be placed in the tub, processed using Re-Spin and then transferred to the dispenser.
This provides a faster route to the soft-serve experience when you already have a suitable frozen dessert available.
Customise scoopable desserts with Mix-In
The Mix-In programme distributes solid ingredients throughout a processed scoopable dessert without completely blending them into the base. Suitable additions include chocolate chips, biscuit pieces, chopped nuts, small sweets and selected frozen fruit.
The Mix-In programme is intended for scoopable recipes. Chunky additions should not be passed through the soft-serve dispensing nozzle, as they may restrict or block the dispenser.
Two reusable 480ml Swirl tubs
Two 480ml CREAMi Swirl tubs with storage lids and dispensing nozzles are included. This allows two different recipes or flavours to be prepared and stored at the same time.
The NC701UK uses its own NC700-series tub and dispensing design. Tubs and components from older NC200, NC300 or NC500 CREAMi models are not compatible and should not be fitted to this machine.
Easy-to-clean removable components
The tubs, lids, Creamerizer Paddle, outer bowl and removable dispensing components can be separated for cleaning. All removable parts are suitable for the top rack of a dishwasher, while the electrical motor base should only be wiped with a clean, damp cloth.
The dispensing nozzle, nozzle gasket and Swirl Press can also be removed for more thorough cleaning. Cleaning the dispensing components promptly after use helps prevent dried ingredients or ice cream from obstructing the nozzle.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Ninja Swirl freeze the ingredients?
No. The machine does not contain a freezer or compressor. Freshly prepared bases should normally be frozen inside a Swirl tub for at least 24 hours before they are processed.
How is the Ninja Swirl different from a normal Ninja CREAMi?
The Swirl adds dedicated soft-serve programmes and an integrated dispensing mechanism. The original CREAMi creates scoopable frozen desserts but does not dispense them into soft-serve cones.
What is the difference between the Ninja Swirl and CREAMi Deluxe?
The Swirl is designed around soft-serve dispensing. The CREAMi Deluxe uses larger tubs and offers programmes for frozen drinks, slush-style drinks and frappés, but it does not include the Swirl’s soft-serve dispenser.
How long does the Ninja Swirl take?
A prepared base normally needs to freeze for at least 24 hours. Once fully frozen, the selected processing programme takes approximately one to six minutes.
How many cones does one tub make?
Ninja states that one 480ml tub can produce approximately four servings when standard wafer cones are used. Actual yield will depend on cone and portion size.
Can I use shop-bought ice cream?
Yes. Ninja advises that compatible shop-bought ice cream, sorbet or frozen yoghurt can be placed in the Swirl tub, processed with Re-Spin and dispensed as soft serve.
Can I add chocolate pieces or sweets?
The Mix-In programme can distribute suitable solid additions through scoopable desserts. Chunky mix-ins should not be dispensed through the soft-serve nozzle because they may cause a blockage.
What should I do if the dessert looks powdery?
Use the Re-Spin function to process a crumbly or powdery base again until it becomes smoother. Do not use Re-Spin immediately before Mix-In, as the additional processing may overwork the ingredients.
Can I use tubs from an older Ninja CREAMi?
No. The NC701UK should only be used with compatible NC700-series CREAMi Swirl tubs. Tubs from the NC200, NC300 and NC500 ranges are not compatible.
Are the parts dishwasher safe?
The removable tubs, lids, outer bowl, Creamerizer Paddle and dispensing components are top-rack dishwasher safe. The motor base must not be immersed or placed in a dishwasher.
Can I make dairy-free soft serve?
Compatible dairy-free ingredients can be used when following a suitable Ninja Swirl recipe. Texture and dispensing performance will depend on the balance of ingredients in the frozen base.
Can the machine process ice cubes?
No. The Ninja Swirl should not be used to process loose ice cubes or a solid block of plain ice. Ingredients should be prepared according to a compatible recipe before freezing.
How should leftovers be stored?
Flatten the remaining dessert in the tub, close the tub base and refreeze it. A firm refrozen dessert can be processed again using its original programme, although repeating the process may further break down any mix-ins.
Product specifications and included components may be updated by the manufacturer. Always read the supplied safety and operating instructions before first use.
