How Starlink Works
Most satellite internet services come from single geostationary satellites that orbit the planet at 35,786 km.
As a result, the round trip data time between the user and satellite—also known as latency—is high, making it nearly impossible to support streaming, online gaming, video calls or other high data rate activities.
Starlink is a constellation of thousands of satellites that orbit the planet much closer to Earth, at about 550km, and cover the entire globe.
Because Starlink satellites are in a low orbit, latency is significantly lower—around 25 ms vs 600+ ms.
How do I setup Starlink?
- Find a clear view of the sky. Use the "Check for Obstructions" tool on the Starlink app to find the install location that will deliver the best service.
- Plug Starlink into power.
- Within a few minutes, your Starlink will connect to satellites. Use the alignment tool to position Starlink to connect to satellites overhead.
- Connect to high-speed Starlink internet from your device!

All other items (coffee machines, vacuum cleaners, hifi etc) are available for free UK delivery and are shipped on a tracked service with either Royal Mail or DPD.

INSTALLATION OPTIONS:
Installation of TVs and appliances is available in the local area (Ballymoney, North Coast & Ballymena).
Exclusions include Gas appliances and built-in appliances wherein a kitchen door is hinged such as an integrated fridge freezer.
In such cases we recommend local specialists.
